The Targa holds a particularly special place in Porsche lore. Named after the Targa Florio, a race first won by Porsche in 1956, the first Targa model was introduced in 1967. Its innovative roof design was an immediate sensation. Today, the newest Targa features a sliding glass panel roof that is no less of a sensation.
Nice Targa

Retracting at the touch of a button, the large double-thick glass roof slides beneath the backlight and has been engineered to minimize optical distortion. There's also a power-operated sunshade to keep the cabin cool. And a power-operated wind deflector that reduces interior wind buffeting when the roof is retracted. It's an extraordinary experience. Nothing else on the road works so much magic with a few square feet of glass and the rush of air over your head.
